We love Anna’s photographs so much that we had a really hard time narrowing down which pieces to include in this interview—we wanted to share them all. Her work is intriguing, youthful, and full of energy and after talking with her, it’s easy to see why. Anna has that laid-back vibe of her home state, but she also has the grit and drive it takes to succeed in her current home of New York City. It was an honor to hear from Anna about her journey from photography as fun to making it a serious pursuit, the year she spent in Mexico after college and what she learned there, how she made the transition from assisting to shooting, the lucky break that got her started, and why she’s grateful for her work, but never satisfied. Thanks, Anna, for inspiring us with your story.
